Drinking water

Water is essential for our bodies to function properly, yet many of us don’t drink enough of it. Did you know that dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches and even impaired cognitive function? That’s why it’s so important to prioritize hydration and make sure you’re drinking enough water throughout the day.

So, how much water should you be drinking each day? While the classic advice of “eight glasses a day” is a good place to start, the reality is that everyone’s water needs are different. Factors like age, gender, weight and activity level all play a role in determining how much water you should be drinking. As a general rule, aim to drink enough water so that your urine is light yellow or clear.

One of the easiest ways to stay hydrated is to carry a refillable water bottle with you throughout the day. Try setting reminders on your phone or computer to take sips of water every hour and make sure to drink water before, during and after exercise or any other strenuous activity.

If you’re not a fan of plain water, try infusing it with fresh fruit, like lemon, lime, berries or herbs (like mint or even basil). You can also sip on other hydrating beverages, like herbal tea or coconut water, throughout the day.

The benefits of staying hydrated are numerous. Proper hydration can improve skin health, aid in digestion, and even help with weight management. So, make sure you’re drinking enough water each day to stay hydrated and reap the many benefits of a healthy, well-hydrated body!
