But even if you’re following a great program, there will still be times when you struggle. Here are some of the biggest weight loss struggles and how to overcome them:

Struggle number ONE: Making lasting changes to our diet and lifestyle. This is probably the biggest challenge of all. It takes time and effort to make permanent changes to our diet and lifestyle. But it’s important to remember that these changes are worth it in the long run.

To make lasting changes, start by setting small goals. For example, you might start by cutting out sugary drinks or eating one less unhealthy meal per week. Once you’ve mastered these small changes, you can start to make bigger changes.

Struggle number TWO: Sticking to a workout routine. Exercise is an important part of weight loss, but it can be difficult to stick to a workout routine. If you’re not used to working out, start slowly. Aim for 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. As you get more fit, you can increase the intensity and duration of your workouts.

To make working out more enjoyable, find activities that you enjoy. You might like to join a gym, take a fitness class, or go for walks or runs outdoors.

Struggle number THREE: Dealing with setbacks. Everyone has setbacks when they’re trying to lose weight. It’s important to be prepared for these setbacks and to know how to deal with them in a healthy way.

If you have a setback, don’t give up. Just pick yourself up and start again. Remember that everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is to learn from your mistakes and to keep going.
